Donington Park hosted our final competition of the 2013 season on 28th September with the pre-ordered sunshine and no rain.
31 competitors took part on a flowing, clockwise course that saw a few penalties picked up and kept our marshals busy. The average time was around 2 minutes 15 seconds and 19 riders bettered their time on the second attack.
Iain Suggett shaved off almost a minute from his first run; Thomas Barron reduced his second attack by 38.28 seconds. Ian Ashford, Ian Gill, Christine Wilson and Zoe Ladbrooke all trimmed 11-17seconds off their first runs.
Andrew Rayfield made his debut on the podium by taking first place with a time of 1:59:27. Matt Hull took second with 2:00:82 and Mark Wraith in third on 2:01:08.
The top 3 received merchandise which was kindly donated by AJP and Metzeler. Mike Neillans was again Fastest Novice and received a pair of Bull-It Gloves.
Andi Beazeley (5th) and Rob Smith (8th) also earned their first ranking points.
