The course proved challenging for some of our 30 competitors; Attack 1 saw a few pylons being clipped and the Marshals being kept busy. Another course walk at lunch saw Attack 2 giving far better results, times and reducing the number of wrong courses. There was a particularly tricky double v-shaped jink along with a fair number of rotations, slaloms and a figure of eight.
Kristian Eekhof shaved 6.58 seconds off his second attack time, securing first place on the podium with 1:47:88. Kenneth van der Broek took second on 1:51:81 and Neil Wallis-Tennant in third, with 1:55:32.
Andrew Rayfield took Gold on the novice podium with a time of 1:57:56, a debut for Mario Nicou with Silver on 1:59:35 and Bronze went to Steve Laughton, 2:01:86.
