Moto Gymkhana – National Championship Round 3 – Donington Park
Round 3 of the Moto Gymkhana competition season got underway on Saturday, 22nd June at Donington Park with 35 competitors taking part.
For a change, we laid out the competition course in an anti-clockwise direction but included some super fast speedy sections as well as a few tight, nadgery obstacles to test everyone! The first attack was undertaken during a torrential downpour and whilst we may have had some soggy competitors and marshals, times were still good. Attack 2 saw sunshine with drying ground and gave improved times for almost everyone.
Neil Wallis-Tennant on his Z750R took top spot on the podium with a time of 1:46:39. Matt Hull, who returned this Round on the 690 Duke, took 2nd place with a time of 1:51:87. The latest combination of Fox & Wolf, saw Rob make another appearance on the podium, this time taking 3rd, coming in just one second behind Matt.
Prizes were also awarded to Mike Neillans for fastest novice with a time of 1:53:75 and Ian Gill for most improved time on Attack 2 by shaving off 26.16 seconds.
