The Moto Gymkhana Mayhem weekend kicked off in Cumbria at Kirkbride Airfield on Saturday, 13th July 2013 on one of the hottest days of the year so far. The AJP’s again proved popular although several people decided to give their own bikes a go for the second attack.
There were some interesting interpretations of the course and much improved times as usual. Most stayed on to enjoy the free practice at the end of the day just to see how many seconds they could shave off.
During the morning, two of our members gave a brief demo at KC Superbikes in Carlisle, who very kindly donated some prizes for Round 4 the next day. We also had a visit from Morecambe Bay Estuaries Advanced Motorcyclists (MBEAM), who were on their annual ride-out but detoured specifically to come and be introduced into the world of Moto Gymkhana.
A great day, a record amount of water consumed and some new members too!
